Default CFL technical question

So I'm putting together..hopefully the last version of my CFL light fixture...and was wondering if it was ok to run two CFLs touching/very near to each other?

I wouldn't think that would be a problem, being close. Now touching, if you have ANY vibration, it will eventually wear down the glass and cause the bulb to come apart. Not good.

Close, yes.
Touching, no.

i see...thanks...so the main problem is vibration, not heat?
