This is my first grow. My two larger babies are in the flower room and have been there 12 days. and vegged for 4 weeks. I am using 10-10-10 ferts. just increased the night from 12 to 14 to help with flowering.

I veg under a 2x4ft fluro 6500k 40 watt bulbs. vegging seems to keep up with the big boys a bit. tight nodes and good growth , 24/0 on veg BTW. The small one are about 3 weeks from seed.IM a bit worried a bout flowering tho.


I flower under a 2x4 2700k 40 watters. A HUGE cfl with 300 watt equivalent, it think it uses 60 or 90 actual watts. a 150 cfl think its use is 50-60 and a 60 watter all 2700k except forthe 60 watt.

Im on a low budget and would like to grow with cfls for electricity reasons, but may get a 150 watt hps next time round.

Im almost positive that adding another 2 hours to the night cycle will not help induce flowering, other than that they look like u have no problems in the light department.. just keep your flowering room at 12/12 though.

Well I seen that the hormone that causes flowering is produced during the night and destroyed by light. So I cut 2 hour to help biuld it up. I'm about to get a hps soon. Thanks.

get rid of that tin foil asap

I 2nd getting rid of the tin foil it will absorb the light not reflect it...

Thanks man. I did alot of research b4 i started and I just took a biology class over the summer, so i felt comfortable but when i see em start budding i think it will b as awesome as when my son was born. thats not true but a close second.
