This is my first time growing, i found a couple bag seeds in a great eighth of MJ, so i'm hoping i get that great chron from this grow.

I germinated the seeds for about 3 days, the tap root was a bout 1/4" long when i put it in the soil. Im using 2 small containers for now (a can for canned food, and a chip dip container). I have 2 CFL's going over them for now, one is 6500k and the other 2700k, i have two other CFL's ill be adding when they get into flowering. They're on a 18/6 light cycle. I'm not using any fans!!! I simply cut a hole on the top of the box, and one on the bottom.

Those look like small bulbs, you'll probably do better by adding more watts. Good that you have a spectrum mix. I'd give them 24 hr light, 6 hrs of dark does them no good now.

How long should i do that for? Until they break soil? I just put some plastic wrap over the top to speed things up.

Edit: I have 2 other CFL's i can hook up for more light (one 2700k and the other 6500k) Should i do this? I am just worried about the temperature inside the box as i dont have any fans to take air in or out, just holes in the box.

Update: I have added a pretty large PC fan as an exhaust for the box now. Both the seedlings have sprouted and are well on their way i hope. Pics for your viewing pleasure
