Hello,

Well after only getting one girl out of 5 planted ak48 seeds...as soon as I got over the disappointment I cut 3 small clones from the bottom area of the girl.

Being that I did not have root stim gel or rockwool...and no incubator...I did it old skool.

1 day of them in just water...then straight to dirt with plastic chinese food containers over them to act like a greenhouse. Misted and a week maybe two weeks later...one clearly survived and took root.

So I transplant this one to a 3 gallon pot and now onto the questions:

For about 3 days nothing at all happened. Now this cutting is VERY small mind you...two fan leaves and a bit of growth in the middle, only about 2" tall from cut to top. Maybe an inch is above ground.

It is clearly growing now but slowly. I'd say it added a new set of leaves and grew 3 mm in the past week.

Am I just witnessing it get over all the various' shock? Will my growth now take off? I also brought it back to veg stage...so that was prolly a factor too.

Will this clone get large like it's mom? It now has the same volume of dirt as her.

It really doesn't seem like I am saving time vs seed. As a matter of fact I even pitted her against another ak48 seed. The seed is a good 3" tall now...she is maybe and inch and a half.

well the reason it isnt growing is because its still in shock, and it should take off sometime soon, the problem that i see though is that you took wayy to small of a clone

Yeah it is tiny...but when I transplanted it had a buttload of roots...so as long as she can scale up to full size...I got lucky this time.

Just an update it has started to take off...it has doubled in size in the past week.
