I’m looking for some advice on where I went wrong. Here’s what I did:

Preparation:

• Put scissors in alcohol to sterilize
• Soaked two peat pellets with water mixed with Super Thrive
• Mixed Dip N Grow at 20:1 strength

Cloning:

• Cut two branches from the bottom of a very healthy plant (growing outdoors) with scissors
• Brought 2 clippings inside and cut the stem at 45 degree angle (about 1.5 inches) with brand new razor blade
• Dipped branch in water, then Dip N Grow for about10 seconds
• Put clippings in peat pellets (made hole with toothpick)
• Cut some (not all) of the leaves in half
• Covered clones (see pic)
• Place clone box in light room

Problem:
Clones drooped within 6 hours or so – it’s now the 3rd day and they’re stilling drooping and don’t look like they will make it (see pic).

Potential Issues:

• Didn’t start misting clones until 2nd day
• Light room was too hot the first day (probably around 100 degrees)

Any constructive criticism is greatly appreciated. I’m going to try again in a few weeks and hope to get it right this time.

they are a little too wet. i remove my cover after the third day. i mist them lightly the first 3 dats with the cover on but i let them dry out a little in between mistings. if you uncover them and let them dry out a little they may perk up. they often wilt the first few days.
