First Grow-- CFL 12-12 from Seed

Like the title say this is my first grow. Im using 4 27watt CFL's. Im growing with a 12-12 light schedule from the start mainly because I would rather sacrifice the yield size in exchange for a shorter grow, germination to harvest. Right now I have one plant that I actually did veg for about a week and a half, but in that time I did so many things wrong that is is visibly waaay behind schedule and is tiny. It is definitely female and has a good bit of hairs, for being as pitiful of a plant that it is. I just germinated another seed, and got it in a cup and under the light yesterday. Pics:

These are pics from about 5 minutes ago. The little one is coming along pretty good. The big one, Im just going to let her finish up and enjoy my few grams from it haha. I put in an oscillating fan about a week ago, so the little one will hopefully have a thicker, stronger stem.

so far so good...maybe add 2-40w bulbs in a couple weeks, 4 for 24 bucks at cfluniverse.com

Dang, 4 for $24? Thats pretty good, I think I paid about that much for my 4 27 watt ones from Home Depot..

It reminds me of the lead gremlin in the Gremlin movies.

Really interesting grow though, it's been fun to read.

You should have vegged for a couple weeks atleast..would have produced a hell of alot better plant for a mere 2 weeks..

Yea I know. Thats what I had planned on doing, but I just kept messing things up, and believe me, that thing didnt grow an inch for over a week (I originally said I vegged for a week and a half, but it was a little longer, it just didnt grow past a week and a half haha), so I switched it over before I killed it ha. I plan on adding another plant when the bigger one is about 2 weeks from done, so I will get some type of yield every so often.

hey you said a couple of grams? ha ha ha bro you will be lucky if you even get 1 gram out of that plant , you should of let it grow a hella lot longer, go read some threads and people let there plants grow for a long while and get like 120grams wet and when dry the only get an ounce if that , when drying and curing you lose about 80% of weight to it so think about it from 4 ounces wet to 1 ounce dry and cured. and that little buddy is going to grow maybe 1 gram wet and dry and cured you will get about 1 small hit . put it into veg stage again and the other 1 might catch up with it and then you can yeild a little bit more bro .

my plant is 4 feet tall and i flowered it at 20 inches and thats how much it stretched and im going to be lucky if i get about 2 ounces off of it

I usually get 50% dry of what it weighed when harvested. I also think you need more light and veg should be 24hr. Also you need a mix of 6500k light and 2700k light in all stages.

that would be lovely to get that much i need to knw your techniques for that because i would get about and ounce off of 2 and thats nice man .

I said it before weezy, you won't get a gram off that plant. Maybe .5 gram but that's like a quarter of a blunt. I don't know man but good luck.

Been away for a while... but my plants are coming along good. The younger one has nice broad leaves, and the older one is covered in trichs, but is still fairly small, but showing some growth. Pics:


You think I should go ahead and transport the younger one to a bigger pot? This camera on my phone really doesnt do these plants justice. The mature one has a potent smell to it, and has a ton of trichs on it (or alot more than I expected, considered the stress it has had and its tiny stature ha).

Ha well you live, you learn. My newest baby should produce alot more than this one. It still wont be much since Im not vegging it, but alot more than what Ill get from the older one. Even though i wont get much at all, its still been fun to see a seed grow into the pot we all love, and watch it progress day to day.

Well at the moment i have 24 seeds in germ. And plan on picking the best 12 for my grow tub I am going with 12/12 from seed. And people said if done right you could get about an ounce per plant and yes i know that is really optimistic and probably requires a HID (MH,orHPS)

hey rolltide...holy fuck! I have never seen such a small plant, mature and show sex and flower! It's more bonsai than my bonsai plants...it's lilliputian in size! They size matters, but fuck...not in your case! Awesome job...i'm subscribed.

I do all 12/12 growing myself...no veg time, no 24/0 unnatural lighting conditions...i just grow it like it was outside my house in mid to late sept...12 hours of light, 12 hours of dark. well, actually I'm doing 13/11 for a few weeks then to 12/12...still very natural pattern.

Ha thanks. Thats why I kept that plant this long. It barely made it past the seedling stage, and then once it showed female sex, I decided what the hell, just to see what would happen. Now its so funny looking with a little bud on top like that, that I want to see just how little its gonna produce. Maybe Ill get like 2 gravs from it.

Im trying 12-12 and Im gonna see what I get from this younger plant, and if it sucks then I am gonna start vegging my plants for a month or so. I would start it now but I dont have two separate grow rooms, and since Im flowering two plant aready, I kinda stuck until they are done.
