so lets say i acquired a small clone and ran it under 24 hr light (6500k, 2 cfls) for about 2 weeks since im trying to keep it small.
its now a little over a foot tall and bushy, but while it was still in veg i noticed the little white hairs on the pistils, but now a week into flowering under 2 2700k 23 w cfls i dont really see any anymore... did i wait too long to flower?? im buying 2 more 2700k cfls today..
forgive me for sounding a lil new to this, its my first attempt, and the plant looks heatlthy..

You really can't wait too long... You could Veg a plant for a decade if you wanted to... I would say give it till week 2ish and you'll see 'em popping up at all the nodes. Good luck!

when you go 12/12 it can be a few weeks before you start to see the formation of flowers.

Like they have said above you can veg a plant for years and years if you want before flowering.

hmmm, never heard of the hairs disappearing after they have already popped out...wish i could offer some advise, but i have no idea...just sit back and hope that they reappear

and if i was you, i might keep one or both of those 6500k cfls on it as well...theres a big debate on mixing spectrums, but as i see it, more light can never hurt, right? i personally have both 2700k and 6500k on my baby, and she just started week 7 of flowering 2nd week flowering bagseed w/ AMAZING pics!
