Default very new to growing, have dropping and yellowing leaves
Hey i just started growing my first plant and I'm having problems. I believe the plant is about 2 weeks old after germination. I have 2 cfl 23w lights. One bright white and the other is an orange tint. Im using a potting mix and an organic mix that is 10/5/5 on a 18/6 cycle. I have some pictures attached showing the condition. I hope its not to late if someone wouldn't mind helping.

I watered it yesterday with about a 1/4 cup of water. I started watering everyday before the leaves where yellow, but i got word about not watering it so much so now i'm going to water every 2 or 3 days.

You may not be giveing them enough water. You should soak the pot real well then let it dry out untill you can stick your finger 2 inches into the soil and then it feels moist. In those clay pots it should dry out quickley. It looks like you added some extra perlite too that helps it dry out too.

Everybody waters differently. When I water I put my pot into a bowl and let it sink into the water then let it set for a minute. Then let it drain. Watering like that sucks fresh air into the roots.

If you are using tap water it needs to sit for a day to let the clorine gass out.

Well I use spring water, no tap water at all. I've heard from many of people that I should water like every 2-3 days b/c before i watered it everyday and the soil was visibly damp. What should i do? Help is greatly appreciated.

Yeah dude i had the same problem cause i got lazy and didn't keep to a schedule. You shouldn't have a watering schedule just water it when it asks for it. These plants like to be able to dry out after being water'd.

Dont soak them but let them get pretty wet and water as needed

looks like a lack of nutients too.let the top crust up before watering again.if you water too much with out proper drainage root rot will set in.
