I've been curious about CFLs for awhile, as well as 12/12 from seed, so I decided to combine the two. I didn't want to invest a lot of time or any money into this, so it's been neglected a lot and definitely half-assed. I water once every 5-6 days, other than that I don't even see them. anyways, I have two plants grown from feminized seeds from my last crop. They're El Diablo aka Senõr Kush.

Lighting consists of five 26w 2700K CFLs in Y-splitters, attached to a power strip. I keep the lights 2-4" above the tops of the plants.

I'm using Miracle Grow Organic Choice potting mix, it's shit. drainage sucks, and it has a lot of uncomposted bits making it acidic. It also came with plenty of fungus gnats. I've fed them Fox Farm Peace of Mind 5-5-5, Plantlife Products Bud Start & just started with the Ton O bud.

They first showed sex 5/30.

I'll always prefer HPS, but CFLs have their place for sure. I may tweak things more and grow a few crops using them, and see how it goes from there.

I got the Y-splitters @ Wal-mart.

P.S. They are at 34 days into flowering.

man your plants look great, im doing the same exact grow with just one fem amstel gold (passion 1) Using 5 2700k 27 watt cfls with flowering from day 1, also it is on the window sill so it gets some light from that. Just one question, you say 34 days of flowering. I asume you mean 34 days from the sight of the first pistil, and not 34 days old in all right? lol that would be incredible. My other question is how old is the plant in all, how long did it take to begin flower? Thats all i got, great thread again, you made my night. You are doing bassically the same exact grow as i am lol except i am just 10 days in from the day she broke the soil.

thanks man! I've just recently bumped it up to 5 26ws, up until last week it was only 4 and a 13w. she was 24 days old when she first showed sex, and up until then growth was soooo slow. I neglect and abuse these girls a lot, so I'm sure with some TLC you can def exceed my results.
