You can use any screw as long as it will not stick through the bottom of the PVC rail. I first measured out 2" distances from end to end and marked it with a sharpie. Then I drilled small pilot holes and finally screwed the srews in. You can use chicken wire, just drill 4 screws on each end and fasten the chicken wire to it lol. Took me a long time to manually string the grid up.

I don't have any CFL's under the screen because I didn't want any heat from the CFL to rise up and get trapped (potentially) under the canopy. I do have my air intake pushing air into my grow box under the screen. This seems to keep it cool, feeds fresh air to the canopy and provides a breeze for the plants.

DIY is just do it yourself. But you can SCROG however you like, can top, fim or just grow it normal while weaving the plant through the screen. The point is to give an even distribution of light to all bud sites instead of having lower bud sites be shaded by a taller part of the plant. THe real low bud sites and leaves I just cut off, not worth allocating resources for them IMO, some people would probably argue otherwise.

Thanks! I will turn this into my journal then and post some more detailed pictures of the grow from the start. I started from clone and used Uncle Ben's Topping Technique to get 2 or 4 MAIN colas . I'll try and post pictures (if I have any) of how I implimented his technique in my grow
