Side lighting on SCROG canopy, is it needed?

I have a screen canopy of 12"x17". I have 6x42watt CFLs shining down on the canopy, the lights are about 1.5" away from the peak of the canopy.

Should I decrease the length of my screen size from 17" to 12" so I can put and extra 7200 lumens of 4x13watt CFLs on each side of my screen? This way I would have 6x42watt CFLs and 8x13watt CFLs all shining on my canopy giving me a total of 24000 lumens on my canopy of bud.

Or should I just go with 16800 lumens but have a little big bigger screen size.
