Will definitely look into that! Thanks!

Thanks for the input. Great log you got goin' on! Subscribed! I plan on upgrading the rest of the bulbs to 26W 6500K. That would total 8x 26W CFL's for Veg. for 4 plants. Think that will be enough?

Also, WOW! Amazing how the girls reacted to the sun! All of their leaves were stretched up drinkin' in the light!

Default Day 13
Here it is, day 13 from germination! Girlz are startin' to look better. (I think!) I have figured out that these peat pots suck the moisture out of the soil and let it evaporate too quick. I'm having to water about 6 - 7oz ever other day.

I was planning on just transplanting peat pot and all into their new home in a week or two. Do you guys think that would be ok? Or should I pull the plants from the peat pots and start fresh?

I plan to start the nute cycle on Wed. That puts me at day 15. I have Alaska Fish Fertilizer (5-1-1) right now, any suggestions on something to go along with that. I think I found a place kinda' near where I live that sells foxfarm along with every other nute that is talked about on here! I like the idea of using some of the kelp based nutes. So if any of ya have any suggestions in that direction would love to hear from ya'!

Default Cooling/Insulation
So, I will most likely be flowering in a shed. Gets friggin' hot here in SoCal in the summer. I saw at HD they have 4'x8' sheets of 1/2" insulation pad/foam/board. Anyone ever try this stuff? I am going to be creating a 'Green' cooling system for this shed. Here is my idea, let me know what you think.

-- Going to dig an 8' x 3' hole next to the shed.
-- run a large coil of like that plastic drip 1/2" water hose/pipe into the hole.
-- Fill the hole with a mix of dirt, perlite, and maybe like some pea gravel.
-- The area that the hole will be will get watered normally with my sprinklers.
-- Going down deep enough you get a constant ground temp of 67deg here in SoCal. (very close to the coast)
-- Utilize a radiator and fan, along with an appropriate sized pump to cycle the water/coolant (haven't tested yet which will be most cost effective) mounted as the intake for the shed.

So this is something that I have been tossing around in my head because I really can't use an A/C unit because my neighbor may wonder why I'm cooling a shed. This way, the fan is on the inside and can try and insulate the noise a bit.

I'll try and post a more comprehensive description when I haven't had 3 martini's!

Whatcha' think of the girlz!

take plastic wrap and wrap the sides of the pot it will probly hold water longer. and i love the ac idea but use a cooler for the resavore so you could add ice on the hot days. also that insulation will work but your going to want to seal it up good because you want to make a sealed air gap in between the inside and outside walls.

Hey SoCal - Things are looking really good man. Just about the same pace my plants were on at that age. Your lights should work fine. And considering they've done no damage thus far, you should be just fine. On the subject of peat pots, I can't really say what you should do because I've never used them. But if you decide to take them out, make sure you do it before the roots grow through the pot or you will have no choice but to leave them in. Anyways, congrats on your success man. Im subscribed. Take it easy.
