Hello all,

First of all, I'd like to say how thankful I am for the treasure trove of information y'all post on here.

I found three seeds in a batch of XXX Kush from the local dispensary so I threw them into a random planter in my bathroom. All three sprouted! I really didn't expect ANY of them to come up. Needless to say, this is my first grow.

I am growing them in a box in my closet, using two 300 watt CFLs along with three 75 watt CFLs. The space is approximately 4 ft. square by about 5 ft. high. I have a nice size fan in there to keep it cool. Everything is on a timer. I don't have to worry too much about smell, but I do have a homemade carbon filter system set up on the box in case the beautiful aroma becomes too present over the course of their flowering cycle (I have an outtake fan up top). I've been using Peters' Jack's Classic All Purpose 20-20-20 nutes for veg and their Blossom Booster 10-30-20 for flowering.

Money is tight so I've done this on a really small budget... thus the CFLs and cheap nutes. I hope to slowly collect better items as I can afford to pick them up for the next grow.

Right now we are about 4 months in, I started 12/12 lights about two weeks ago. I see what must be preflowers (at least according to what I've seen here on RIU). I'm wondering if I can determine the sex at this point. I must warn that my camera is a piece of crap and I tried my best to get it to focus at all... anyway, what do you think? Boys or Girls? Too early to tell?

its got hairs so possibly a female. Can never be sure on bag seed! watch for HERMIES!

Yeah, the box definitely has light leaks. I don't want hermies... I'm quickly becoming a duct tape zen master! Gotta get it totally light tight real quick.
