are u talking about for the veg state? cus during vegatation u need 6500k bulbs. 2700k bulbs are for flowering i wouldnt get that bulb tho newayz i would just save ur money and get a bunch of 23w or better bulbs from home depot or wall mart or something...on a bulb that expensive. u could order a 200w or something online..but ur better of gettin lots of daylight cfls from ur local store. Read the thread about growing with cfls to make sure u get the right ones...cus it makes a huge difference when it comes to the different types of bulbs. 6500k bulbs are more of blue color and 2700k bulbs are more red..so make sure u get the right ones otherwise the color isnt useful to ur plant

Save your money, go to home depot and buy one of those 300watt fluorescent bulbs for only $13 you'll get more bang for the buck.

Don't use equivalent watts people! It's just dumb, the product says the actual watts used right on the box, just go by that. The reti-glo 2.0 is what I've used and it did seem to increase, not the amount of bud, but the potency. Even if this product's benefits are argued, I can guarantee it won't hurt them anyways, they seem to enjoy it. The plant has used UV for millions of years so I chose to use UV bulbs in my grow and achieve great results. I think these guys are talking about the 42 watters, or the 100-130 watt 2700/6700 k lights you can purchase at the hydroponic store. They can plug right into the wall, but sometimes you might need to assemble the ballest, it's super easy but they should have pre-assembled ones too. These bigger lights get pretty hot, but get some serious results, and can be cooled with one fan directly on it. I use one 130 watt, 1- 42 watt, 1- 26 watt reptiglo, @ only 198 watts i'm expecting at least an oz of each small plant. Also the guy who says you cant use the repti-glo for flowering because it's 6700k doesn't know what he's talking about. You can use a mix of 2700 and 6700k lights when growing, just make sure you have mostly the lower K for flowering and more higher (5000 - 6700 K) for veg. In fact a good mix of light frequencies, example the repti-glo, or different lights with added red or blue probably help the plant overall feel like it's getting natural conditions.

not to knock ya or anything. but i dont think mixing spectrums does any good...i mean certain light is for certain stages and i think that using 2700k bulbs during veg is pretty useless being that they dont need that kind of light...but i may be wrong...and no i meant a 200 watt...i was looking at the wrong price on that site. So i was thinking that he could get a 200 watt bulb for the amount i thought he was gonna pay for that other bulb...i dont talk equiv either..sorry for the confusion but ya goto home depot get urself a bunch of daylight bulbs. and use those for veg and then when ur ready to flower swap them out for warm or soft white. Thats my opinion i kno northwest does it a different way not saying one way is better than the other but iv heard that mixing spectrum doesnt help but I MAY B WRONG so dont take my word for it. im just throwin it out there...but ya get the highest wattage ones u can find at home depot i could only find 23 watt daylight bulbs i did find a high wattage 2700k bulb but im not flowering at this point in time so im not worried bout it yet. gl hf
