I grabbed a full spwctrum 40w plant & aquarium GE bulb today... Was wondering if it'll be better than the 2 32w bulbs I got in there... Right now I'm using 1 of each for top light... The full spctrum emits a pinkish light that seems to be dimmer than the 32 cool white.... Should I just stick to the 2 32's?? Thanks

Just stick to the cool white that's all you really need for vegging.I got some of those aquarium tubes and was not satisfied with the light intensity.

Thanks... Yea I'm past veggin bout 3 weeks Into flowering and they are doing well on the cool white... Guess if it ain't broke don't try to fix it huh :P

It depends on what the 40w bulb you have is, I have found GE full spectrum plant & aqua bulbs in either 18" or 48". The 18" i couldn't locate any info on what the output is besides the lumens, but the 48" is 4200k. if you have the 48" id take it back and stick with the 23's. (also most plant & aquarium bulbs are geared towards making fish & plants look more vibrant. LOOK is the key word.)

If its the 18" light it only puts off 1900 lumen's (k rating unknown) so keeping your 2 23's would be better off.

Dial into your plant's needs. Don't work to keep your plant alive, make it work to stay alive.

You need warm white 3000k color temp for flowering if your using fluorescent all the way.They sell them kinda cheap at wal-mart (assuming your from the US)
