Alright here we go... You guys got me this far already. Seeds will be germinating in 2 or 3 days, once I have the rest of my lights set up.

So this will be for 3 northern lights plants. I have feminized seeds, and have set up three 3-gallon buckets, containing a mixture of peat moss, perlite, and mushroom compost.

I plan on vegging until the plants are about 16 inches tall. I'll be using a 4ft 65W t5 Fluorescent (two tubes) across all the plants, and two 42W 6500K CFLs for each individual plant. During the flowering stage, I plan to continue to use the t5 (replacing one of the bulbs with 3000K rating), and add one additional CFL (2300k) to each plant. All other CFLs will be replaced with 2300K bulbs. I'll be using Fox Farm Grow Big, Big Bloom, and Tiger Bloom.

Everything is enclosed in a small sliding-door closet, which is covered in reflective mylar. I will have a small fan enclosed in the closet to keep up air flow.


MY BIGGEST CONCERNS-
pH problems (I have yet to get a digital meter)
Not Enough Light
Pathetic Yield (although this should be somewhat expected on my first grow)

I'll be using this thread to document the process. PLEASE contribute anything you feel is worthwhile- criticism, advice, helpful antidotes.

ya deff get urself a digital ph monitor. I have 1 of those for my soil testing and then i got 1 of those 5 dollar live ph meters at petsmart for my water resivoir so i dont have to bust out the digital all the time. and then make sure u find urself some ph up and ph down from lowes or home depot. or look around on here and find a thread talking about home products that u can use to lower and raise the ph. Good call on the mylar, just ordered a 25 foot roll myself lol. and if ur gonna get more bulbs get daylight CFLs they are great for vegging but like u said u need to swap them out during flowing for lower "k" bulbs. good call on tha t5s i wish i had alot of extra money right now to drop on a couple of those. get those pics up when u got some stuff goin id like to see how it goes. - SyN
