Im growing for the first time and have have one quick question - will 4 13W CFL's work to germinate/veg 2-4 plants from a seed?

They are in a small closet and i plan to move them outside after a couple weeks when the frost clears up for good.

Should i get more lights or should this be ok?

4 13 w will work to get you some sprouts but if you plan on vegging for a couple weeks before you place them outside i would replace the 13watters with 4 27w 6500 lights and that would work for a couple plants for a couple weeks.

so right i would go with the 27 watt 6500k cfls instead of those 13 watt. and for flowering i just found yesterday at home depot they sell a 45 watt 2700k cfl for like $15.00 usd and flower with a few of those and you should be good...good luck

i veg each of my plants for 3-4 weeks in a closet with 2 26w cfl's each (1 27K and 1 65K) and they do great for vegging so shoot for roughly that wattage in cfl per plant with reflectors and they should veg nicely
