Im doin a cfl rubbermiad grow myslef. Been vegging for about 33 days now. Ill place em in flowering this cming friday.
The only problems I've really had with the setup itself is regulating temps. That was just the first couple weeks. I also overwatered the fuck out of my plants during the seedling stage, so that caused a lot of bullshit. Honestly man, there hasnt been much shit to deal with. I think this is pretty good way to grow yourself a little bit of personal. Im not too far off from you, so I cant say much more than that. I hope all goes well with your grow man. you got a journal?

Seriously. I have been doing nothing, but am too lazy to post some new pictures. Haha. I will definitely post some good ones within the next 24 hours. You guys will be amazed at how much they've grown.

I was wondering if anyone could clue me into how I can figure out if it is safe it transplant to a bigger pot before it's root bound, or even close. I ask because since I'm only growing two plants, I want to use up as much of the space as possible, so I want to use bigger pots. From what Ive read it sounds like the bigger the pot means the more root growth, which equals huge buds. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!!

Plastic pots? You can just cut off the bottom on the pots and place pot. plant n all in a larger pot. The roots WILL go down and take in the new soil.

Yes... bigger pots is nice.. tyour plants are still small... so its ok.. The size of the pot depends on how big the plant is at the start of flower and ultimately how big you want the plant to get. If you post pics with curretn plant size and pot size , we can take a look...

Hey thanks for the quick responses. I know, I need to get some effing pictures up. I'm taking some today as soon as my lights kick on. And then posting them. The reason I ask is because I planned on throwing these two into flower fairly soon, but I want to transplant them asap to utilize the space I have. Pics coming soon!!

Default Update - Day 35 Looking good!
Okay. So it's been awhile since I gave ya'll a good update. I went and took some fresh pictures to give you guys a good look at them currently.

On the earlier topic of pots and transplanting, the plants are in 8 inch diameter pots right now. They haven't been in these too long. So, I know there's still plenty of room in these for root growth. I want to transplant, but at the same time I don't want to lose a week of healthy growth due to stress. Give me your input, I still haven't decided one way or another, so I can use any advice. The plants are both about the same height at the moment, but that's taking into consideration that one has been tied down three times now, and the other still has yet to be tied. They both stand about 7 inches above the soil, and 5 1/2 inches above the top of the pot. I want to veg them both out a little longer and hopefully throw them into flowering soon.

I watered them on the 9th, which means they've gone four days without water. I haven't seen any signs of a lack of water, but I'll probably give them a good watering in the next couple of days. I'm planning on boosting the veg nutes to half strength for this watering. I've been using quarter strength.

(Pictures 1-3) THAI PLANT
The Thai plant is looking all pretty all tied down. The first two pictures are snapshots before I made the third tie to bend the main stalk around the pot more. This little one isn't so little anymore. The topping worked out perfect, I've got two nice main growths, which is exactly what I wanted. I plan on just using LST from here on out. No more chopping this little one till harvest. She's a beauty.

(Pictures 4-6)
The Sour Diesel plant is DEFINITELY catching right up. It was lagging for awhile and got me a little worried, but I can rest assured this one is healthy as can be now. I'm considering starting LST on this one soon, but I also want to keep both plants about the same height. We'll see, I don't think it's going to make much of a difference. Regardless, I think its looking absolutely perfect.

Picture 7 is the overhead of both plants together in their homes.

Just a few thoughts...
The decsision about when to put them to flower should depend on how tal you want your plants... you can expect them to stratch to 3 times their their size once they go into flower... So right now you are looking at 21 inch plants.

The plants are looking nice... I dont know man.. 4 days without water seems a lot .. and that soil looks really dry. On the other hand the plants look fine...

Regarding the repotting, their pots seems big enough for their current size. Ive heard a lot of people actually wanting to keep their plants at first on small pots on purpose to get the roots to pack and thus better utilize the new soil when they get repotted. If I were you I would just repot them once more.

Hey Tatan, thanks for the comment man. I have about 35 inches of room to grow, which is why I want to get these little ones in flower pretty soon. I also want to repot it before I flower though, which is why I asked if it was okay to repot without a solid rootball. I also think the soil looks entirely too dry. I've been using a moiture meter the whole grow and it seems to be right on though. I wonder sometimes if I should water a little on top. Any advice? Anyways, thanks for the comment about the ladies. They are pretty sweet to me I must say.
