Wassup Okay This Is My First Ever CFL Grow. Rite Now I Have 8 26w 6500k Cfls And 2 105w 5000k Envirolites. I Am Only Using 4 Rite Now. The Bulbs Are Like About 3 Inches From The Bulbs. Ma Babies Sprouted like Thursday Had Only 2 Bulbs On Em Put Two Mo In Friday Aftanoon Started 18/6 Cycle Friday. Temp Lyk 65-70 degrees. Tell Me What Yall Think And Giv Advice Ima Keep Everyone Updated Every Otha Day.

Veg them under 24/0 for at least like 2 weeks. If there is one thing I've learned it's that a little vegging time in the beginning goes a long way. But, if you are really set on 18/6 then keep em under 18/6 for a long time until you really get flowering.

Just Check Em Out Today Plants About 2 1/2 Inches From Bulb. They Are Same Hieght But The Stems Are Strong And Gained Little More Width Since Las Pics. Some Have Purple Stems I've Heard Thats From Cold Temp But The Temp Was like 71 degrees Could It Be The Cold Concrete Floor Or Is The Temp Not Wat It Is? Stay Updated Posting Pics Soon!

New Update Of My Babies They Are 5days Old Temp 71 degrees Today. Change Setup Put 105w Bulb In Because I Dont Got All My Ext. Cords And 2way Splitters From Other House So This Will Hav To Do. Waitn To Get My Two Reflectors For The Two Of Them But Jus Put Plants In Bigger Pots Today Great Root Structure Other Three Will Transplant Later Ran Outta Soil By The Way Using MG Potting Mix. 2 On Right Are Like 2-4 Inches Somewhere In That Area From Bulb Quick Question How Far Can The Bulb Be From Plant Tops Without Making Them Stretch? On Left Side It Is Like 1 1/2 Inches to 2 Inches Plants Are like 2 to 3 Inches Tall. But How Do They Look Everyone.

6Day Today Is The 6day Jus Got Some Mo Ext. Cords And Put Two More Bulbs In And Took Big 1 Out For Now. Got 6 Plants Left One Was Alive But Not Alive It Wasnt Growing A Lot And Had No Root Structure Its The Smallest One U See In The Old Pic. Jus Transplanted Them All They Done Got Bigger And Starting To Work On Second Leaves Set Check Out Update Pics Tell Me What Yall Think. O Yea Have ANy One Every Broke Roots Up I Was Transplanting One Of The Plants Into A Bigger Pot And All The Root Ball And Dirt Fell Out And Broke Apart When I Pickd The Plant Up It Only Had A Couple Roots I Kno The Plant Is In Shock But Hav Anyone Ever Had A Plant Die Off That?

So much wasted light! Oh well. Plants still grow in the dark. 20/4, 18/6, or 16/8 all good choices. 24 hour light stunts growth. I'm experimenting with 12/4 for veg('1.5 days' per 24 hours).

I'm just saying you're doing good there. No reason to change up.

One thing I'd suggest, and the easiest way I see of doing it is taking a pretty big FLAT piece of cardboard That's twice as many inches wider than it is hung above the light.(so one inch between the top of the lights, and where the cardboard will hang; give two inches overhang on each side).

Then slice a slit into the cardboard from edge to center so you can slide it onto the cord they're hanging off of & center it. Once you get that positioned nicely, take it off, and cover it with aluminum foil, shiny-side out(I'd suggest regular glue, but tape works). Leave that slit!

Then replace it and put some (duct) tape on the slit(the cardboard side, not aluminum) to and around the cord to keep it on the cord.

It won't be the prettiest, but aluminum is a great reflector, and lights are probably nearly 1.8-1.9x as effective using it within an inch or so. And will stop you from losing half your light to the 'air'.
