How many cfl's and which ones do I need to flower one plant 3ft tall also will b getting from home depot / walmart thanks

somthin like 20-30 from wall mart ...thats cfls..and from lowes- 10 of the 65 watters. its cheaper to buy a 400whps....cfls are stellar for veg tho. home d-pot.. same as wallyworld. lowes has the big ones.

and it wont be quick. and it will be a shit-ton of work like 3 times a day moving all the lights. have fun and enjoy.

For one plant you probably need 8-10 23w 2700k CFL's. Put 3 around the top cola and the rest around the sides all about 2 inches away from the plant.

get 2 26 watt which is equivelent to 150watts cfls'. buy some shiny foil or mylar and place it all over the inside of your grow and put a lil fan in there for air circlulation an have a lil computer fan in a whole you place at the top of your box for ventlation and keep your plants watered. (spray your seedlings once in the morning and once at night)(water 1 every 3 days when in veg). good luck

Yeah no disrespect but your lumens output is going to be so low that 2 26w CFL's wont do anything no matter how much mylar you use lol you need atleast 3 above the plant to get one main cola and the bottom 3/4 of your plant will be useless because light wont penetrate the canopy enough to allow flowers to bloom. Also soft white = 2700k color spectrum and bright white = 6500k color spectrum just like you would use mh for veg and hps for flower. You can add the 2700k to the flowering cycle and run both 6500 and 2700k lights at the same time for more lumens and watts.

i picked up a switchable/convertable 400w
for 84$ shipped. E_BAY the hood was 77$ from the urban garden center, and the light was 59$. they were out of eyes @ 100$
so about 220... you can get the whole setup for that online as well. alot of people use them for veggies as i do, and other herbs.
