Is this enough CFL?

G'day

I'm trying to move over my aerogarden grow to something abit more functional so i can sell my ag.

At the moment i am only able to source about 20-23w cfls.

I only plan on growing 1 plant in a micro grow setup, and was wondering if 1 20w on the top and then 2-4 lower w cfls on the sides would be enough light, or should i hold out until i can get a 50w+ globe?

My plan would be to have 1 50w on the top and then 4 10w or so for side lighting

I will probably try and lst and then scrog the plant to maximise my limited space.

Any help would be much appreciated, as i don't think i have long until i have to start lst.

Cheers

for the best results i suggest going to home depot and getting the 23 watts, three of those will give you a decent harvest.

Good Luck!

Thanks for responses

i ended up going to bunnings (aussie homedepo) and getting 4 15w 6500k cfls which i'm currently mounting into a shade.

When it comes time to flower i'll put in 4 20w 2700ks (23w if i can find).

I will try and put in side/buttom lighting later on...

Does this sound suitable, to little, to much? I still have more room in the shade to put 2 more globes, but figure that might be overkill considering its for 1 plant, and i'm going to try and keep it short - will lst at least and possible scrog.

Thanks guys

HD has 43w and 68w as well. Here's my DIY CFL multi bulb hood.

Thanks guys

Put everything together and got a light meter. Got between 2500-5000 lumens depending on the part of plant (having trouble measuring since hood/light is so close to plant) which i believe is enough.

Hopefully now i don't fuck anything up with the lst...

Thanks for answers

the short answer to this is you'll need 6 - 26 watt 2700k bulbs along with the bulbs in the aerogarden ...aerogardening is my specialty and here is a couple of hints ... if you have height clearance and the ability to do so ... you can raise the hieght of your aero garden by drilling through the support arm and screwing it to a wall ...
