Default Cfl light questions

I got 1 plant for now and i was wondering if a 40 watt (150) at 2600lum would be a good idea to use for veg and if so how many would i need

Yh They'll be good just get 3-4 of them daylight cfl's blue spectrum

Wouldn't you need Daylight and not Soft White? I think soft white is 2700k, which is used for flowering right? And daylight is 6500k, used for vegging.

im pretty sure you use daylight ones, but i cant remember the whole cfl 2700k and 6500k thing. i use a 400w hps and a 360w mh. i got a few cfls too but i think you will just need about 5 of those or 6 to make it even, and then u can veg quite a few little planties under em.

2700k is like and HPS spectrum and the 6500k is like the MH spectrum. But either way you could use any of the lights, but IMO if you use the full/correct spectrums you'd get better results. GL

you guys are confusing the dude. to put it simple,

VEGGING = 6500k = COOL WHITE/DAY LIGHT CFLs

FLOWERING = 2700k = WARM/SOFT WHITE CFLs

so save that CFL you bought until you flower. and i suggest buying a few more for that single plant. check out my journal in my signature down below. im planting just 1 as well with 4 cfls

That's basically how I put it, but anywho, GL with the grow.
