I bought these bulbs today. I have a dual 2-footer that I will be putting two 6500's in, and I will be putting these other 6 around it. Right now I am vegin 3 babies that are about 2 inches tall. My plan is to slowly build my cfl's so that I can veg with them, and I will be buying either a 150 or a 400 hps when I flower.
What you guys think?

the tube will be fine....but the cfl's are the wrong color spectrum for veg. the ones you bought are probably 2700k......they do make the 26w daylight cfls and i know they sell them in a twin pack at wal-mart for like $8 bucks

yep....it will also say 6500k on it too

I vegged using two of them T12's plant/aquarium and two T5's blue..excellent..I've even started flower using the T12 and T5 red.. till my HPS arrives in two weeks.. they'll do fine for you..with the cfl side light even better....Luck.
Some say warm = red...or cool = blue..

For 3 plants, will that be enough light for the veg phase....its 3 plants

2 two footers and 6 cfls?....yeah that should work fine for 3 plants...how big of a space are you growing in?

My 1st inside I vegged two plants to 12" under 2 X 26W cfl's on a Y splitter...... keep bulb about 3/4" -1.5" away........ the plant in my av actually...
