Default Any DWC'ers? Water Temps...
Hello all green amigos...
Bout to start the next grow with some good beans and am going to give up the soil and work with hydro. Gonna stick with CFL's though. Room temps don't seem to be a problem with the CFL and proper air flow, but what about reservoirs? I'm setting up a homemade ebb&flow, but still need to get a few components (proper pump), timers, etc and am on a tight budget so there's no room to just guess and buy- need to do a bit more research.

I have already picked up a solid air pump for the 18 gal. reservoir so a DWC system is already in my grasp, though I haven't found too many solid answers on keeping the resevoir temps around 70 degrees so.....should I be concerned with reservoir temps with the CFL's? Anybody doing this? I'm sure I'm a bit more worried than need be as many 400 and 600 hps'ers are not having problems with water temp, it would just be a shame to lose plants mid grow due to temps I can't control.
Any thoughts?

Light set-up: 3- 65w (300w equivalent) and 4- 42 w (150w equivalent...might run 6)....all run on a 12/12 from seed for single cola growth on heavy indica strain.

muchos gracias...

Optimal water temp for DWC is 66 to 68 degrees, but you should be just fine in the low 70's, just a little more susceptible to system/plant problems.
Good luck!
