Hey RIU community. I received my seeds in the mail the other day and I was pretty excited. I still am, but that's not what this thread is about.

I used the paper towel/paper plate method to germinate one Northern Light seed. I filled a cup with soil and put my seed into it and watered it a bit and everything. The tap root was coming out about 1/4-1/2 an inch so I figured it was a good idea to put it in the soil. Looking back, I realize that I should have probably waited a bit, but I figure it does not matter much.

So I have it in my growbox under 4 42w daylight CFL's. These CFL's aren't really arranged in a certain style, which I think might become a problem soon, so I will probably arrange them in a different style soon. What would be a good arrangement? I have a light hanging right above the plastic cup, and the other lights are pretty close, just not directly over it like the other CFL is.

I've been checking on it about twice to three times a day, seeing if it needs water. It's been pretty dry a couple times, and I'm a bit worried about that. But I've been quick to get water to it.

My soil looks pretty un-even and chunky, so I'm wondering if there's any way I could till it, I think the seed may be having some trouble sprouting.

Also, when I checked the other day, the seed was visible and the taproot was just barely fractured. I figured that the plant would be able to repair itself a bit, but I'm not so sure now. I pushed the seed into a tiny crevice so it would could be more comfortable.

That's what has basically been going on. I'm germinating another random skunk seed as we speak, because I've read that I can have a couple seedlings going at once in case one doesn't make it. I'll post some pictures soon.

Also, for nutes, I hear I can use urine. I've read that part 1 urine to part 3 water is good. Any clarification on this subject?

fuck no! don't use urine!!! thats some horrible misinformation. i repeat never ever ever use urine. and slap the dumbass who told you that. twice.

I did some searching and urine seems fine, can you give me some credible sources that say it does not work?
