OK so I been doing the math and research on my CFL setup. I ordered a HID light too but am having shipping issues (go figure) so I went and got some CFLs. Now I kinda dont want the HPS but anyway...

I have
8 26W 2700K
6 14W 2700K
4 26W 6500K

I first wanted use this 10 Square foot box I have but from my math Id need many more lights. So this is what I got. A 3X2 foot box 2.5 feet tall

According to my math (which I have to second guess my results sometimes)...I get roughly 25200 lumens and 396 REAL watts.

So this comes to 79 Watts and 5040 lumens per Square foot if I go with a 3 foot by 2 foot box.
I also have the spectrum figured out to be 73.73% Red and 26.26% Blue, is that good for the whole process you think, because I can add 2 more Blue lights if needed..

Any of you CFL light experts wanna help me feel good with this math. I think its enough but can I make my space a little bigger or should I stick with this. I hate math.

P.S Im growing Automatics if it matters so my height is fixed at about 2 foot or so but adjustable to 3 foot thats why I went with more red less blue since theyre so fast to flower. Thanks for replies in advance.

Well, you can hope for at least 3-4 of them to be females.

Sounds to me like you have plenty of light for what you plan on growin up. But that's just my opinion.

I 'm pretty new to the whole indoor grow thing, my main and best crops came from outdoors.

Do you plan on keepin a journal for all this?

Yeah im gonna keep a journal, track it as I go. I have everything ready minus the wood to build my stealth box. Then a day or so of building and wiring then the camera comes out...

Hahaha- Hell yea! You should find a way to add a T to that- since we're givin the 5-0 it by growin ourselves!

Yea def will do that! Gonna soak my seeds tonight and plant them tomorrow. Figure I'll start on a Monday that way it's easier to count my weeks.
