Ok so my mom has her herbs from last season and there still alive in the garage and i was gonna bring them in and put them under some cfl's just to keep them from not dieing so i can plant them again this spring....What size CFL's should i use and how many there are like 7 plants..

That is a great idea! I have done a similar thing. I started some different herbs from seed and they are doing quite well with just a single 42w warm white. They will stretch and they might not put on 18 pounds of leaves and flowers, but I can say for sure that, tarragon, lavender, sweet basil and sage will grow in organic soil with the heat and light supplied by a 42w and a 26w bulb about 5 inches away from the soil. I have them next to the window and the bulbs are turned on when the day starts getting dark and they stay on until I go to sleep. Good Luck!

Oh a question, are your intentions just to keep the plant alive or are you trying to also supply yourself with fresh herbs during the winter?

Kinda both...I really would like to be able to get some fresh herbs that are organic and free...At first i was just planing to keep them alive but after i saw how big they still were i am psyced about them....Also what about ferts??? Would it be ok to add some of my fox farms???

It should be fine to fertilize them once every few weeks and fox farm is just great for plants, period!Yours will do fine. I set mine near the window so that the light will supplement the sunlight it gets each day. I just turn it off when I go to sleep. I think that if your plants are a prety good size, you will have no troubles getting some fresh herbs and keep it alive. I wish I knew more about them so I could give you some better advice, but that is all I've got this far.
