First Time Indoor!

I've dabbled with indoor grows before, but always failed and just moved the bushes outside because it was so much easier for me.

A buddy of mind just moved up from his CFL's and GAVE them to me for free. How can I say no?

If I'm looking to grow in coco coir as a medium, should I start in another dirt first and transplant, or start straight from coir?
