Default CFL to HPS question

I'm about to start germinating 3 feminized seeds...

It's gonna be a soil grow with a 600HPS...

but I wanna start them out with CFLs until they are 3-4 inches and then switch to HPS...

how many watts per plant do I need to do this?

I've been doing a lot of research, but can't find anything

is 100 watts per plant okay?

It's not about the watts it's about the lumens. I heard around 5,000 lumens per square foot but don't quote me on that. Get a second opinion

ahh thanks man, so if I have 3 plants only wanting to grow them to 3-4 inches, I could fit them until 1 square foot right?

i use 2 23 watt cfl per plant and they are about 5 inches tall... the do strech a bit so i'd use 4 for an ideal purpose..
3-4 23 watt cfl's is awesome per plant
