Default Lumens Per cubic ft
I soon hope to be starting my first micro grow in an area that is 4ftx3ftx2ft. Trying to be as efficent as possible and spend as little as possible. So my question is how many lumens per cubic foot should I have for a good yeild. I know cfls would not yeild as much a hps but I do not have the cash atm. Currently I have around 990 lumens per cu ft is this enough? Any help is good help in my opinion so bring on the comments.

Thanks
Purp

you want a min. of 2000 lumens per cu ft and 3500 would be better.. so you might want to get some more higher watt cfls... i would put 4 42 watt cfls that would be enough in there.. butt remember the more lights the better outcome!!

I am confused, do we measure lumens per cubic feet or lumens per square feet?

Lumens per square foot. Basically the footprint of light on the ground.

Cubic feet is for ventilation.
