I'm a new grower i was wonderin how many and what wattage cfls i should use for a 2x2x4 box any help would be greatly appreciated thanx

Ill asume 2ft long by 2ft wide by 4ft tall??? Hopefully.
Im using kind of the same size cab (pics are before i started vegging), for 3 plants. I got 4 42w cfls hooked up on y-adapters for the tops of the plants, and 4 26w for the sides and undersides. Its recomended that you go with a CFL bulb for every leaf of the plant, or a 42w to cover up to 8 leaves. Its more or less something you will have to toy with as you grow, but deffinetly start out with at least a couple of 42w for getting them started.

This is where i get my bulbs from, just cause i can order in bulk and dont have to worry about spectrums.

thanx for the info oh yea by the way u assumed correctly. that is close to what i had in mind just wasnt sure second doubts u knw lol. now for my second part i can veg and flower in this box correct? just make the plants smaller and force to flower younger i hope im on the right track

As for flowering, you should be able to do it in the same box unless your trying to have a continual grow, ie. vegging one set while the other flowers. But if you just looking at start to finish in one box youll be fine, you probably wont have to make them much shorter than they would naturally grow unless you got some tall ass sativas.
I dont know how many plants your thinking about but if you only have a couple and you want to max out your space look into topping them, that will make them short and bushy. As for flowering them young, you got a pretty decent hight with 4ft, as i said before unless there just a tall strain you can probably let them veg for at least 4 weeks before putting them into flowering.

i have couple more questions. What r the chances of some bag seeds being sativas? and if they r will they still be able to grow in a 2'x2'x4' grow box if i top them? or will they grow to big?? any help would be great thanx
