Im already thinking about my first grow and I want to grow outdoors. I already found the ideal spot etc... but I want my plants to have a head start by starting them indoors under cfls. Im thinking about 20 seeds right now. These will be from attitudeseeds not bagseeds. Here are some questions I have.

1) I can run the plants under 16 or 24 hours and not have them stop vegging when I bring them outside in april correct? They will stop vegging after they recieve less than 12 hours of light per day right?

2) How many watts will I need? I did not find a full answer by searching because they will not flower under cfls.

3) I want the plants to be maybe 6-10 inches and than plant them outside.Is there an estimate to how long this could take from seeds?

1.your correct

2. wrong you need around 2000-3000 per square foot and yes they can flower under cfls only (look at my grow thread if u dont believe me)

I know they can flower under cfls but I never saw a thread that only vegged with cfls. They usually use a mix of lights that suit vegging and flowering

I'm doing 2 now under 2 X 26w on a Y splitter..did it last year, and got a good start... right now I'm doing 16/8... I'm doing these to try a few things..I'd suggest the ones you want to put outside you start the 1st week of april and get them outside during the day ( inside light at night) ...depending where you live I usually get them out the 1st week of May during the day, but this year the weather was fucked up and they only went out in late May.... The more light you can do, the better...

I live in Pennsylvannia and got into growing too late in the year last season. But I still watched the weather and Think the plants would have done alright if I put them outside mid to end april. around Easter. How long did you have them grow inside? How big did they get?
