1st cfl grow, about 1 week in and a stalk / stem has pierced its way through the soil. However is it normal for this to look like a root (white) sort of colour rather than green? Or has something gone very wrong?

It goes about 2-3inches deep where i can see lots more roots have spread, i was just worried as to the look of the stem comming through

help much apprteciated

**plant is currently under 2x 105watt cfls with a spectrum of approx 5500k**
