Greetings!
And forgive me if I'm asking a "dumb" question, but I haven't been able to find an answer to this. I've got a Northern Light that's been flowering now for a little over 8 weeks. I started 12/12 on Aug. 20th. A friend of mine, who claims to know what he's doing, told me to cut back on the light. So, about 2 weeks ago, I started an 11/13 cycle. His thoughts if I am "replicating" an outdoor grow...indoors, I should be cutting back on the amount of light the plant gets. In the couple of grows I've done, I've always kept it 12/12. Does my friends logic make sense? Should I go back to 12/12? As I said, the plant looks very healthy and the buds are looking good. I'm just not seeing much change going on. I had hoped to have chopped this lady down by now, but I think it's way too early. And I don't want to hurt her or affect the outcome in a negative way. Any thoughts?? Sorry about the pics but I don't have the greatest camera. Any comments, suggestions are appreciated.

nice pics still, and good choice with the mylar.
as for times, most people will tell you to stick with 12/12, and say why screw with the proven method. others will tell you to switch it up, that the change is a good scienctific test. honestly if your only changing it 1 or two hours i dont think there will be much different. in terms of your buds, you are giveng them less light to produce with so its youre call on whether you trhink your hurting them.

Thanks Rooter and wbd. I think I'm gonna go back to 12/12. Tried & True. I don't want to do an experiment. I just wanna grow some kick ass smoke. Although, I'm not certain that my friend's wrong. If you're growing outdoors, it's kind of a no brainer. You let the plant do it's thing, (obviously with some extra special care). Light sets things in motion, triggering certain actions from the plant. I had read somewhere that as the amount of daylight becomes less and less, one or more of those "triggers" goes off and the plant goes into a "survival" mode. Its mothers instinct is to ensure viable offspring and the decreased duration of light would, according to my pal, give you the best the plant has to offer. Anyway, I'm pounding down bong hits and watching football so this all might make no sense at all. Thanks again. Reps to you guys
