I recently did some construction on my box and had the door open for an extented period of time. I notice afterwards a few gnats in my box. I tried to catch them, but they're very slippery.

Does any know of any great harm that gnats can cause to plants? I'll try to get them (with my hands) and could spray neem oil, but I'm hoping to avoid that since the plants are about halfway through flowering.

I had a few of them my first grow, and I've seen a couple on this batch too. I think they were gnats anyway, really small, like mini-flies. They didn't seem to hurt the plants any. I keep an open container with water in the grow cab and they eventually end up flying into it and drowning.

If you have swarms of them, you'll most likely want to do something about it.

You probably already have some sort of fan blowing air across the plant(s), but if you don't, it will help also.

its my first time growing i have some too very very hard to catch
since they caint hurt my chiks its ok with me
ill try the ( container with water in the grow cab technique)

I change the water container about twice a week and often there are one or two little dead gnats floating on top. It's never caused me any problems before. Good Luck.
