Default Imporant PPm Clarification Please
Hello guys, I been having an issue figuring out this ppm nutes thing. I have a tds meter and I saw somewhere on a psot to try and get your ppm to between 1300 - 1500. I did this and I ended up using so many tablespoons of nutes to the gallon.

I used this once on my plant (75ml) but then got rid of it because I thought it would cause burn. On the package it says 1/2 a teaspoon per gallon.

The high ppm mix was more than 1 tablespoon. Please help me figure this out.

It's Peters Proffessional at 30-10-10 in organic soil.

Thank you all.

well, I dont know much, so you may want some verification on this, but i do know that TDS stands for Total Dissolved Solids, and PPM stands for Parts Per Million. These sound to me like 2 different measurements, so if you're going by PPM, you need a PPM meter, not a TDS meter. Again, I may be wrong, but it makes sense to me anyway. Hope that helped somewhat =]

Im pretty sure ppm is a form of measurement that a TDS meter uses. you can measure in many other concentration proportions like ppb, etc. It is what it is at a ppm reading.

Hmm, cuz I've seen products called EC/PPM/TDS meters, leading me to believe that these meters measure all three, not that they are all the same. Google that shit. However, if your nutes say one thing, i would trust it, because the nute direction make more logical sense then putting in what you feel is too much. If it feels wrong to you, chances are you're right, ya dig.
