I was wondering if i was to get a couple of mogul adapters which allows you to use 125w and 200w cfl's that have a mogul socket in any socket would I be able to use the 125w lights at Home Depot in the flood lights section,really I'm askin would they be any good or should I just get a cfl grow light from the hydro shop or online?

Most of the high wattage light's in the flood light section are replacement bulbs only mean it will only work in a specific socket made for replacement bulbs. I would just go to the hydro shop you had in mind and they will have everything you need or just goto.

I think I'm going to get the 200w MH HID light from my hydro shop that should be enough to veg 4 plants at a time shouldnt it?Thank you DR CHRONIC for taking the time out to help a newbi +rep.

to answer your question tho you can use the mogul to edison base adapter and fit the 125 watt flouro into a shoplight type hood but its more effective to buy a mogul base screw shell .. (the thing the bulb screws into) and make a batwing reflector.
they put out plenty of light for vegging a few plants.
but as Dr Chron says go with the HID and you will be plenty happy
