Hi just wondering if anyones used 1 of these as i need to knw how much its gonna cost to run on the leccy as im still at my mums... Im on 12/12 now so 250w on 12 hours a day how much? Im in the uk i jus dnt wanna run a huge electric bill up and cause suspicion...lol

it depends, my 400 watt run at 12/12 upped the bill by about 20 a month, so your's shouldn't be more than13 or so a month. You will be fine.

What dnt u thk she will notice?? Cant wait get my own place and purchase hps...badboy lol

(uk) Looks like im gonna av to take my white widow dwn tnite as im abit scared of electric being higher and my parents clockin on, I mean one guy said abt £13 but i thk thats gonna be noticable on the bill looks like im gonna have to wait till i get my own gaf... hey man, i am growing with a 250watt cfl and i have not noticed any difference. although i dont pay the bill, the missus does but she ain't said nothin. and she'd be the first to complain but all ok. i was told it cost's around 6p a day and i believe it. so don't frett man. if ya mum say's somit to ya i'm sure you can come up with a good one. good luck

Hey man thx - but its gotta be more than 6p lol, Ive been trying to use those electric calculators too work it out... but its comes up summat like £15 . I wanna carry on but jus cant get caught...so annoying

well i can tell you it aint much more than that as me missus so would have said summit. if you do work out the cost please let us know. but i aint gonna worry about till she says summit and i've been usin it for 3-4 months, just got me new 250watt red spectrum. started the flowerin process today. good luck man

what after 3-4 months veg thats gona be a monster lol, i put my ww into flower after 15 days veg it looks grat but its comin dwn tnite as my worry for the cfl cost is playin wiv my head jus dnt wanna get thrown out lol. I mite jus put her on the windowsil to keep her alive and take clones in a few months do u thk that would wrk mate??

worth giving it a go. seems such a shame to kill it. you can keep her alive for months with the smallest amount of light. good luck mate

this is somewhat easy math to find your answer

250w @ 12hr/day X 30 days

=.25kw X 12 X 30

therefore you will use 54kw/month

54kw x price/kw = monthly cost.

you'll have to know your price/kw, but where I live it's around 6.7 cents per kw, so my price would be

54kw x 6.7cents/kw = 361.8 cents or $6.03/month
