    Default a few quick questions

i just recently transplanted my five bagseed seedlings to 6? 8? inch pots. they all seem to have made it quite alright.

one plant wants to fall over, mostly because the stem seems to have grown at a weird angle and when i transplanted it, it lost the supporting soil around it. should i just keep propping it up like i have been? the stem is only like 1.5 inches long, so it's not a spindly plant issue. also, this plant has weird genetics because it's leaves are growing all retarded-like. but like any parent, i don't want to shun my retard baby.

also, since i got larger pots, i can afford to water less often but use more water, correct? how does once every 3 days sound?

when can i start giving nutes? they'll be about 3 weeks old tomorrow. they're all a little small because for the first 1.5 weeks, they were under red CFLs and since then have been on blue.

sorry i don't have pics right now.

    update/bump:

i'm not too worried about the plant that has a weak stem (in the 2nd pic, it's far right) anymore even though it's propped up.

my main concerns now are these:

    - since transplant, i haven't noticed much growth at all. i transplanted them on monday and they still seem bored with their new soil. what is wrong? is this normal? should i lengthen their night period a little bit to promote new roots?

    - plant #1 (pic #1) is still droopy as hell and worries me because it was the earliest to get big and has since fallen behind.

    - i've noticed some gnat-type bugs in plant #1's upper soil, which i squish with my fingers whenever i see them when spraying the soil/leaves with water. i haven't seen them in any of the other pots. none of the leaves or stems look damaged, but apparently these bugs might be "root gnats" or something? any ideas? oh, unfortunately my soil is MG potting soil. didn't have many options when i bought it.

the plants will be about 25 days old soon and yes, they're small for that. the first 12 days of their lives were spent under 6 red CFLs. now they're all sharing 8 30w blue CFLs and a random red that i move around. all of the lights are less than 2 inches away from the leaves (i moved the lighting fixture in the pics). my fan is also on the right side, blowing from right to left so that the co2 gets blown onto the plants (in theory)

    comments/help appreciated :]

For starters, I can tell you that the lights need to be placed above the plants, not at their sides.

you didn't read my post. my lighting fixture isn't in any of the pics, and it's 8 30w blue CFLs. i have it held out of the way because it hangs ~2in above all of them.

sorry, i did read your post, but i also looked at the pictures off the bat and can see them leaning towards the lights in those pictures.

it's misconceiving when you say you moved the light fixture but also put single cfls on the sides of the plants, sorry I was confused.

haha okay next time i take pics i'll be sure to remove the one random red cfl so that people don't get confused anyway the only one that looks specifically like it's leaning is the back right one, and that's the one with the fucked up stem that i mentioned in the thread.

i rotate all of the pots anyway to counteract any leaning i DO notice.
