Is 45w enough?
I have started a grow using the sun but I'm not getting enough direct daylight hours so I'm going to buy a CFL was thinking 45w.
I am growing a Sweet Cheese feminized.
Obviously the more light the better but I can't afford to shell out for a 250w bulb.
Also does it matter if I get a 5500k bulb for an autoflower or do I have to go for 2700k?

I don't have to she'll out on a 250w hps. But 45w cfl will get u very little bud. Just buy 4 of your 45w cfl's 2 of 6500k and 2 of 2700k. That's 180w you'd have there and yield would be a lot better too. jmo. Peace and good luck

Cheers for the feedback. I have been offered a really cheap 105w 2700k would that be a reasonable compromise?
-
105w 2700k wouldnt be bad im more partial to the 5000k-55000k flouros myslef since they are a mixture of both the 6500k and 2700k flouro phosphors and contain the most PAR light.
in other words there is no advantage to a 2700k over a 5500k as far as red, but there is the advantage of blue light in the 55000k vs the 27000k.

So if I could get a 150w 5500k that would be best of both worlds?

Cheers for the advice I have ordered the 150w, I'm now toying with the idea of supplementing that with a 4 x 11w 2700k for flowering as they are lying around the house because surely it can't hurt?
-
no it wont hurt!! if i had them lying around damn right im gonna use them.now all you have to do is keep the thread updated and let us have a look at how it goes
