So I went on Weedportal, you know it is associated with Nirvana. And I went to the EXPERT's section where you can ask questions and get information about growing and things about strains, kinda like here, well here was my question I asked:
How long does it take to grow Blue Mystic Autoflower, mine are 6.5 weeks old and no signs of flowering? I germ'd all 5 seeds of Blue Mystic Autoflower on 4-22-12 I have all of them in DWC 18 gal totes, under 312watts of mixed CFL's, half 2700K and half 5000K. The lighting schedule is 20 on and 4 off. My plants are over 14" tall and I have had to LST them to save space. I have had pistols showing up at branch nodes and along the stems, but no bud formation continual veg growth. Please any info or help.
I got answers:
I stay away from autoflower strains. I like control. With regular fem seeds you control how long they veg and when to put them in the flower room. Mark this up to a growing lesson learned.
Try backing off on the lights to 12-12 should get them going.
life of auto's is 8-12 weeks, your problem is "LST" , Auto's should be grown "natural" way (left alone) any devience will result in longer "times" and small yield. Only thing to do now is waite it out, stick with regular or female seeds, auto's are a waste of money and time., They DO have their place but use as last resort, really a auto plant will do good with constent 18/5 start to finish, So basicly don't stress plants, You have the reight idea about lighting use at least 5000K( daylight) . for veg growth and 2700K for flower (soft, warm light). one can purchase 400watt cfl's for about $40.00 or so
You got to admire some people for their efforts, as hard as they try, they still don't get it...lol. And by the way the 3rd responce is the one I like the best. ROFLMAO!!!!

Time for an update, it is the start of week 7 and I'm tired of waiting for flowers so it is in the tent with 12/12. I put them there on sunday and I have one plant acutally budding.

No really though....I'd be pretty bummed too being let down by your purchase. Have you asked them if they can help you out in any way to make up for the mistake? They must have sent you reg. fem beans instaed......grrrrrr!!
Well, I got a responce from Nirvana. To say the least they were apologetic "Im sorry to hear about your problems with those plants. We havent had any other complaints about those seeds as far as i know. You say none of them has shown sex yet? May i ask what light source are you using for those plants, what light cycle are you using for them and what nutrients ar you currently giving them?

Yes, a lesson learned. Won't be doing autoflowers from Nirvana again. Though I must say they have a couple photosensitives that I do like and will grow them again when I can get the seed. So in the mean time I have them in the tent under 12/12 and they are starting to go nuts again, 4 of the 5 are setting buds. One actually has budded and the tops of all the branchs as well as the main top are the size of a dime.

Yes, I have some ladybud now it's on to bigger and better things will be starting up a new thread soon showing the beginning of my next grow. Looking forward to this one as from what I have seen of others it does rather well. White Widow X Big Bud from Feminized seeds. Well they are 7.5 wks old today and everything is starting to bud nicely. Only after a week in the tent at 12/12, hopefully after 6 to 8 more wks I'll be harvesting.

Well here is what I have in the tent along with the Blues. They are starting their 5th week of flower, a crazy ass sativa and 2 indica's.

They are all bag seed so no telling what strain they are, but after rubbing the stalks the sativa has a spicy lemon smell and the 2 indicas have a real earthy aroma. I should be harveting the 2 in 4 to 5 wks and have another 7 to 8 wks with the sativa.

It seems they have gotten a mind of their own and decided to take over, not that I'm complaining just wish i had better lights and more room to allow them to do what they want.

The sativa has the most exotic and enticing aroma of lemon spice.
Things I have learned from these grows, Don't buy "Autoflowering" seeds from Nirvana, though the seeds are good, they aren't AUTO's. Don't grow more than you can handle 5 in one container and 3 in another...lol, accidents do happen. Learn more about strains before you grow them or in my case allow them to grow. Damn that sativa is Huge.
