Also, as soon as I reap the rewards of this first harvest, I'm going to build a T5 or T8 ballast with 6-10 bulbs, as yours has shown me what the right cfls can really do. I can hardly wait till payday to buy a couple grow bulbs for my T12s. Which are great but nowhere near to as efficient as 5's or 8's. How much did you pick yours up for?

I spent around 250$ on the ballast and 16 bulbs I know I could got a good hps but heat stealth ventilation was all an issue for an apartment grow where the summers get 110

16 bulbs you say? I think I'll start with 16-24 than. I feel your pain man. The heat is a huge concern too, i was playing with timers last night and forgot i have to manually turn my fan on if it goes off(didnt think it was on the timed circuit) so I walk in and the temp is at 34*C.... Typically its been at 27-29*, which is still high m8, i really need an exaust... come payday :/ expensive hobby.
