    Cool Cfl/Fluro

Bought the quantum badboy T5 6bulb fixture and the veg is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. Anyone have exp. with them in the bloom stage? i have 6 2700k bloom t5 tubes, 1 6500k (to keep the growth continuing) and 4 26w 2700k CFL's. It's just one plant and i know they say do not let the ladies get to tall when using fluro's but mine is 28in. and have not flowered it yet. the 4 cfl's are supporting the underneath of the plant as the rest accomadates the top and outside. Obviously, i know i have way more than needed but i am only doing one plant so i dont get in over my head. After all that, my question is: will my bud be thick and airy? i know asking how much i willl yield is like asking how much do babies weight? so i won't ask that. I'm asking quality not quantity. P.s. Strain- amnesia haze (clone). Foxfarm soil. Voodoo juice, sensi grow, and sensi bloom used throughout. Wish i had pics!

As my dad always says, "If you're gonna do something, do it."

I believe keeping the light closer to the plant, keeping a circulation fan at leaf top for heat reduction, would make the plant stubbier depending on strain. Further away the light, the stringier it will grow, hence looser bud. Indica/Indoor strains can be manipulated this way easier than Sativa/Outdoor ones. You have to find the right distance between light and plant, watching growth rate and adjusting. Another option is to top your plant by pinching off the top set of leaves at the stem, if you have enough nodes/Secondary shoots. This will make it bush outward more instead of up so much.

yeah i figured that too. right now it's about 10 inch. away from the t5 with the cfl's underneath almost touching. according to my log i get about 1in of growth per day. but i have re transplanted and tied down almost every budding branch so stress has impacted my growth.
