bottom leaves are dying

i started flowering my plant a couple of weeks ago and about last week every morning ive been seeing dead leaves at the bottom, i was thinking it was a light thing so 3 days ago i cut off a couple of the upper fan leaves and mounted a light on the side twords the bottom.
also, i have great flowering on the tops of the branches, but almost none below that

help?

lower leaves will die especially in flowering. as long as it doesnt get excessive its normal.

ah thank you, they have pretty much stopped since i put the light there too, not to mention the budsites have almose doubled
