1st Cfl grow with pics
Growing out 2 blue rhinos and 2 bagseeds that I saved up from decent bud. Both strains are being grown out from seed.
They are in a homemade rubbermaid box..each container is 50gals.
The lighting rite now is 8 23w 6500k cfls. Soil is promix hp w/mycorise/perlite/fast acting lime.
Only nutes so far has been some tea. Was using blood meal but switched to high N bat guano and a little molasses. Also been adding a few drops of superthrive to the water.
I fimmed both of the bagseeds. And Applied some LSt to one of them. I think it came out great! multiple tops and its just a Bush

I was looking today and noticed that the stems are starting to alternate, so im looking around to see if I can determine the sex of any plant yet andddd
Now this is my 1st grow, but ive done my research and those look like pre-flowers to me.
The plant is a blue rhino! Which is exactly what I wanted to keep as a mother. Its the plant That is the closest to the camera 3 pictures up.
All I need to do now is find a place to keep my blue rhino in veg so I can start taking clones.
I also need to get some flowering nutes so I can put the other 3 plants into 12/12. I was thinking about getting either Iguana juice grow and bloom or earth juice. any input?

that one does look female. the second one i cant tell. you could top/fim/lst the gal now if you wanted.

fimming is a form of topping really, I'm watching pawn stars and am just checking out riu on breaks, i'll hit you back later on some more detailed info.

hmmm, i didnt remember you said you had lst'ed some of them, its not that your doing it wrong or anything. still wouldnt hurt to check em out too though.

Ive seen those links and they are very helpful.
I have 2 bagseed plants and 2 blue rhino plants. The bagseed plants were both fimmed and one was lst'ed.
And today I fimmed my soon to be mom.
So in total I have:1 bagseed fimmed and lst'ed, 1 bagseed just fimmed, one blue rhino growing with no sort of pruning, and my female blue rhino( the only one to show sex so far)
how far apart will 2 plants of the same strain show sex? does it really just depend on the plant?
Some show in 2 days and some show in 2 weeks. It all depends on the plant.

sort of plant dependent and wether or not they were pushing out preflowers showing they were sexually mature already.
