LA Confidetial, Super Lemon Haze, Bubba Kush, Pineapple Express under 312W
Hello All,
I have been a member of RIU for awhile now and have decided to begin my first recorded grow. I have have two grows under my belt using random bagseed. This time around I will be using 12-26w CFL's; 10 being 6500K, and 2 being 2700K.
I have 4 seeds soaking in dechlorinated water inside pill containers. The genetics are:
1x DNA Genetics LA Confidential Fem
1x Green House seeds Super Lemon Haze Fem
1x Green House seeds Bubba Kush Fem
1x G13 Labs Pineapple Express Fem
I will let the seeds sit in water for approximately 12- 16 hours, at which time I will put them into soil. The soil I will be using is Fox Farms Ocean Forest, as for nutes I will be using the Fox Farm Trio pack adjusting pH as needed.
I look forward to this this grow and what comes out of it, I hope you will also.
Feel free to post if you have any questions or comments.

you may want to be careful using FFOF for your seeds, can be too strong for the little ones, at least leach it out with some PH'ed H20 or cut it with some nute free medium....just one of my lessons learned.

Thanks for the heads up nugbuckets, I will probably leach it out with water, if not I will start them in peat moss.

Fox Farms is great! Not having to mess with overwating and nute burn from Miracle Grow shows how much better this soil really is. I am also excited to see how "the express" turns out even though the name was slapped on just because of the movie doesn't meant there isn't real genetics behind it.
yeah thats what people tell me about using FFOF with seedling or clones, BUT... i did it anyways and it seems that my plants did just fine. If I had it do it over again i would take nugs suggestion and leech it out prior.
Just woke up and man is it cold, time for an update. Last night I leached the soil of it's nutrients, but it was a pain in the ass trying to dry the soil in the time constraint I had. Took the seeds out of the water after soaking for 14 hours and put them straight into soil about 1/4"-1/2'' deep. I will keep the top of the soil moist by spaying water on top throughout the day. I do have the pots on a Hydrofarm heating mat to speed up this process.
I have aquired most of my supplies and they can be seen in the pictures below, excluding the lights, which are now in four power strips waiting to be hung. As far as nutrients goes, I willl give the plants their first dose sometime between 2-4 weeks. I will end up transplanting around 2-3 weeks, so it's probably best to hold off on nutes untill they bounce back.
My supplies are as listed:
1.5 cu. ft. Fox Farms Ocean Forest
1 qt. Fox Farms Nutrient Trio
Hanna Checker I pH Tester
pH Control Kit by General Hydroponics
Hydrofarm Seedling Heat Mat
4x 3" diameter x 3 1/2" height pot
4x 5x5x5 1/2" square pot
Home and Garden Sprayer

You seem very organised Good luck with the grow. Bubba Kush is a great strain, one of my long time favourites.
I just wanted to add that some sort of humidity dome will really help those seeds to germinate in addition to keeping them warm from below. I use cut down 2litre plastic bottles, just cut them in half and stand one over each pot = instant humidity dome You will see the humidity rise inside the makeshift dome as it mists up.
Hope this helps.

Yep, I second the humidity dome. It helps tremendously with keeping the right environment for germinating seeds.
I'm really interested to see what that Pineapple Express does, I'm Sub'd!
