Can anyone tell me more about the RIU forums? For example up by my name it says I'm learning how to roll and has a weird blue circle. The other days someone had a post about "leveling up." I can grow okay and I've known how to roll for years trust, but I've only been posting here for a few months so anyone have more info here? Or maybe a link to a post with more info? Thanks.

I have plenty of room for other plants in here, just haven't filled it out yet cause my 3 biggest ones here just moved to budding stage.

Got some growing to do here yet. I've always topped so I was thinking of trying LST.

I'm putting it to the forum for a vote, To top or not? Post experiences, thoughts, opinions and pics of what you did if you got em. I've never tried LST so any advice is always appreciated. Thanks

Think of it as an activity monitor that shows how much you have posted and shared. Most often it's simply based on the shear number of posts you have made throughout the entire forum.

Blue circles are usually for snitches.

My bad, that's a terrible joke and an obvious lie. The blue dot I believe is an offline status indicator and when you sign it changes to say "online".

"Leveling up" is just being active to gain a reputation which is the entire basis of a forum like this. The idea is to share knowledge, offer constructive criticism and the occasional high five to help create a positive online community. This will in turn help your reputation and the better your rep, the more likely people are to help you.

In the top right of every post, next to the number of the post in the thread, there is also a scale and an exclamation mark inside an orange triangle. Clicking on the scale on a post that was helpful or insightful to you give the poster a +1 rep. The triangle is quite the opposite of that and gives them a -1 rep.

The two meters just below that area are a visual representation of your rep.

I hope this is helpful and accurate. Anyone else can feel free to correct me if I am wrong because obviously I am new here also and there are some minor differences from one forum to another.

So how many plants are you placing in each box? Do you foresee overcrowding being a possible issue during flowering?

Also, the more details you provide about your grow the easier it is for everyone to help. (temps, pH, etc.)

Looks great though and did you use gift wrap block out light or did you need my shipping address?

Q#1: I currently am going to run 3a piece an see how it goes. I may move to 4 or even 6 if I can train it right.
Q#2: I don't see overcrowding to be an issue as the boxes are stacked 2 high and I am flowering the plants at only 5-6" of veg height. But u know how these things get, if need be I can simply raise the top box or maybe stack a 3 rubbermaid tall growbow. I really don't think that'll happen with CFL's though.

As for more details I'll start having updates with pics and details once or twice a week. The current conditions in the box are:

Temp: 80' F
Humidity: 50%
Soil ph: 6.2 as of 7/18

I went cheap on the nutes and bought at Walmart. I'll get all those details in next update.

I ended up FIMming The 2 in veg yesterday. Nobody seemed to have an opinion on the LST idea so I figured I'd stick with what I know rather then experiment right now. I took pics of the tips, I know they might be more then u might take off for topping, I always go by a certain number of nodes, other ways may work, but with my method I know what to expect almost every time.

Question: I grind up my tips and pruned leaf and blend it in with my weed for rollin j's. It seems to burn more evenly and it doesn't change the taste much, barely affects potency either. Am I wierd or does anyone else do that????

I posted pics from 24 hrs after the topping so you can see all the new growth, it always amazes me how fast you can make these things grow in soil.

The temp in the veg box is 73-80' F and the humidity is just under 60%, I won't check the soil ph again until monday.

The temp in the budding box is 80-85' F and the humidity is closer to 50%. They have been thirstier the past week and a 1/2 but are doing pretty well. Not sure on sexes yet but they should start showing soon. They've been growing great tho. I included a pic of one of the temp sensors I've been using, it was like $10 @walmart but it works great. The readings on it are a mix of the box and the room temp outside the box thats why it looks wierd. I also included a couple shots looking down into the box to show lighting placement. I use only cool daylight in veg and warm spec for flowering with a couple cools thrown in for a more balanced spectrum. I keep the bulbs about 1 1/2" from the plant itself. My first grow I keep the plants 6" away, since I figured the spacing out better things really started growing alot faster with very little stretching.
