Medical grow raided.

I have had them come by my place to do check ups twice, I was actually wondering if bylaw you have to let them in or do they need a search warrant? I have nothing to hide so I let them come in, I recall reading somewhere that they must give you 48 hrs notice before they can enter without a warrant . Also the cop informed me that they have access to my surveillance cams . Do they need a warrant for that?

The answer to all of that is yes, they still need a warrant. Currently in Canada (likely to change to follow suit with the US and their new invasion of privacy bill) no police officer is allowed to enter a premises without a search warrant or probable cause, the smell of cannabis is no longer "probable cause" because you have an exemption for it. However, refusing to allow police to enter will trigger them to obtain a warrant and their no longer entering on your terms...

What province do you live in?

I'm guessing frequency is based on the how the local police feel about MMAR grows and how often they're being abused in that area.

I could be wrong.

If the police show up unannounced just tell them you would love to show them your grow but you are late for an appointment and you are leaving now and to please come back another day.

Ya right! If your legal and have nothing to hide why lie? Tell them FUCK OFF and get a warrant! Or if you really want to see than make an appointment and I will gladly show you. They are trained to see through lies so starting off that way is worse than telling them where to go.

Pharoah, man you really look at the glass half empty. Do you really think its all gone in 2014? I do believe that changes will come but our government does not work that fast firstly, secondly they are already in hot water over other issues that are deemed more important(F-35) and we have an election comming up near that date.

Hard to look at the glass half full when they've already got exactly what their planning on doing essentially mapped out, phasing out DG's and PPL's by 2014, the ONLY thing that's going to postpone that is if the people who become "Authorized producers" are unable to provide medicine to the entire country when they plan on phasing out DG's and PPL's, or we get a change in government.

Look at C-10, nobody heard about C-10 until harper started plugging away at that, and not only did it take next to no time to prepare, but it also went through all stages of law building in no time as well.

When the government WANTS to do something... I don't think it takes them long to do it, it's only when they don't want to change things that they take forever with it.
