    Default is it to late?

    Just wondering, im still waiting for a referral to go see a doctor in toronto, and my doctor here told me to call back at the end of this month to see if the one in T.O will see me to sign papers, then i see my doc in April and blah blah blah it goes on and on.. plus the time for HC to get my papers and another 3-5 months before i even see any papers come back to me if at all my card, now i read somewhere that HC is changing stuff and whatever there doing...what i want to know is, would it be to late to even go through with this? i might not know anything till september, this process has taken me 7-8 years to get me where im at now, its really fustrating me and i started all this while i was liven in Calgary now im in Ontario.

    Nope, it's not to late at all, I would also recommend doing it sooner than later, Don't wait for a referral, go out and actively find Doctors who have done their homework on MMJ, there's a number of list's that can be found that contain within them Doctors, just google search "MMAR Doctors" and you'll find some results.

    yeah i understand this but at the same time im in a small town and pretty much 1 doctor does the referrals to a doctor in toronto, i just got back from a visit to a doctor at the hospital and all they did was give me sleeping pills and a speach on how marijuana can cuase mental problems. i know im fine with it but i think im just gunna have to wait it out.

    small town doesn't matter, if you have internet, many of them will do a Skype session with you. You don't need to physically go into the doctors office.

    Ya like Pharoah said, Online is the way to go in your situation. Medicalmarajuana.ca is one and the one I used and am very happy with was the donoharmclinic.ca I paid a total of $400 and everything was done by them.

    Well worth it in my opinion.

    Is it too late to be a DG, because I actually filled out all my forms from health canada needed, just last night and when I went to my local hydro store to get a quote of what it would cost the guy who works there told me that their gonna stop the DGs soon...

    I am still waiting to see a dr for my mmar, I plan on driving to ontario as soon as I can find a dr willing to sign my papers. (I live in quebec and no dr wants to sign those papers here)

    Also, will growing for yourself be "phased out" as well?

    just when i thought we were moving forward..

    ya wtf is this, this is why i never bothered doing any of that cuz the government is always screwing around. i just want a medical growers license and a patient card so i can grow for myself and others who need it. But if its going to take me 5 years to get it done and by then itll either be legal or even more messed up, who knows.. whats a fast way to do all this? Ive herd of a doctors who travel around and hand these out legally for like $200 and u hav to renew them every year for like $300 or something, just need to make an appointment with one, my friend told me this (he grows with his family, they all do this), so other then trying that way (which im iffy about if thats even legal, didnt ask much about it of course so idk) im wondering what to do aswell as many other ppl on here aswell, so anyone with further knowledge post away cuz i dont see any canadian threads or sections etc etc on here at all, ppl sure, but no signs of grouping.

    I spoke to one of my buddies briefly today and he said by the time it takes effect and all that, it should be 2014 so its still a good idea to get it now. You could do a few batches before they take it away..

    Anyone hear this or think its on point?

    Gibbs: My accident happened july 18th 2011, I applied for my MMAR in November 2011, connected with a Doctor to sign, and was licensed by February 10th 2012. Once you know these things;

    A) A Doctor who is willing to go against the proverbial grain and sign, or a Doctor who is willing to be educated by their patient.

    B) Which forms to fill out, many will tell you that Form F is required if you rent your dwelling, and intend to grow in said dwelling, but his is not the case.

    If you do not have a category 1 condition, outlined in Form B1, than you'll;

    C) Need a letter of diagnosis from a specialist, this specialist does NOT need to fill out any MMAR application documents, you ONLY need the diagnosis from them.

    Hope that helps.

    Chocolope: Their intending to phase out PPL and DG licenses in 2014, and completely abolishing them all together once their own Licensed MMJ Producers have a sufficient supply for Medical marijuana Patients.

    From my understanding, the MMAR program will be essentially scrapped, and will be replaced with a single document that is filled out by a medical practitioner, sent to a HC authorized producer, who then fills the prescription with authentic "Medical MMJ" Labeling to allow law enforcement officials to differentiate a black market stash from a medical MMJ stash.

    My understanding of the proposed changes is that any medical practitioner can prescribe MMJ to anyone with a condition that is believed to be treated effectively with the use of Cannabis. This will eliminate the need for a specialist diagnosis and the also will eliminate the long wait time we currently face with the current program, 3 months to get a license is ridiculous, effective date should be when the Doctor signs the MMAR forms, not when HC approves them.

    Cool so I could still maybe get like a year and a half of growing before they take it away at least.
    Ill take anything I can get at this point!!

    Anyone have any idea more or less what drs are charging to sign the papers... I've been hearing things like $500+ (I really hope thats not the case)
