    Default 6 Mature - or - 12 Immature Plants?

I asked this question a while back but never got a satisfactory answer - so I'm re-wording it.

If I'm allowed to grow 6 mature or 12 immature plants, it seems logical that I could do half and half. By that, I mean I should be able to grow 3 mature and 6 immature plants. Or 5 mature and 2 immature plants - or any combination that lets me grow 2 immature plants for each mature plant that I don't grow.

I understand that I can get the Dr. to "Up" my script, but that's not what I'm asking! How does the law interperate "The 6 or 12 Rule"? Are they a bit flexible, would they accept my reasoning as stated in the paragraph above. I'm sure this issue has come up before, has anyone been busted for it? And if they have been busted, how did it play out in court?

depends on your COUNTY. check local laws to be 100% safe each co has different rules-reg on growing..poss..

HERE I can have 6 mature -6 immature yet who is the one who says they are mature-immature...? I say harvest =mature?

the law is vauge.. and thats the way they want it.

Laws vary from fed to state state to county county to the peace officer who investigates it..(we have a cannabis compliance team here.. go figure that..)

Different counties have different limits, so it varies depending where you are at.

I think the best thing to do would be call the local leo and ask your questions to them, their the ones thats going to knocking on your door later.

I've been doing a bit of research the last few days and here's what i've read.

Mature plant is generally considered to be a plant in flowering stage. No answers on 12 - 6. The law says OR not a combination.

Not quite true. They were struck down only for personal use to treat a medical condition, which can be reviewed by a court. So you can defend your growing of the # of plants to treat your own personal condition IN COURT, after you've been arrested. If the # of plants can't be shown to be just for you or the person you're a primary (as in they live with you, not just authorize you to grow for them) caregiver for, you're still illegal. The court upheld that the 12/6/8 oz limits would NOT require defense in courts if you have the state card, meaning you will NOT get busted for it if you've got the card and are inside your limits. So it's up to whether you are willing to risk an arrest and defending yourself in court. It's actually pretty reasonable from the medical standpoint it means if you're a person with a true medical need, you can grow 1000 plants to make concentrate if you show that is what's really going on... but you may have to prove it in court. Or you can stick to the limits and never have to worry.

Still to be legally decided as far as I can tell. They can't control that you're allowed your MMJ, but they do have some regulatory rights in terms of building/property code they're trying to use to control plant counts and where it's grown I don't think that's fully played out yet legally.

Keyword "OR", I know it's stupid and illogical but if your following that law.... There are so many ways to look at the laws, county/town/zoning, or whatever you can prove is medical necessity..... But if your looking for the safest route legally, it's 6 mature OR 12 immature. Personally I wouldn't necessarily call law enforcement. I have lived in areas where the local law enforcement didn't know the law, or you may get a slightly different version depending on officer/department. Heck my current town as of last I knew all indoor grows were against zoning code.
